We bought the gun yesterday or put it in layaway anyways......ugghhhh I hate spending that kind of money on a gun and shouldn't have to. Just makes me all the more mad......They were so loud and obnoxious Friday and Saturday all day and night so Saturday evening I just had it. The booming and screaming and yelling, loud inappropriate music but it was during the day, cars in and out as usual...so I got mad. Not just any mad I got steamed and soooo ticked off it boiled over out of me and I lost it for a bit. LOL nothing too crazy...I simply got hubby's cd case out and he had a friend over as did I and I cranked it up....all the way up!!! George jones, Charlie pride, Freddy Fender, Merle Haggard, Waylon, Willie, Gary Stewart, John Conley, Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty.....I played whiney old old old deep country music from 10:00pm until 4:00 am as loud as his old truck stereo would go. I loved every minute of it....they did not know what to think...in and out in and out lights on and off on and off. I was just waiting on someone to call the sheriff's dept on me but they never came. Guess what!!! I was really tired today but it was calm, almost quiet, kids played outside, we worked a little outside....almost like a "normal" country life day dare I say that? I got so much enjoyment out of finally being able to do "something" in a payback kinda way....my husband was teasing and told me I needed anger management therapy......yep got me some therapy this weekend lol lol lol.

We called the fire dept. about 3 times and reported smelling the 'burning plastic' smell of a meth lab in our area. There are only about 6 houses within a mile radius of our house so it was pretty easy to find the source of the smell (directly across the street!) The fire dept. got the EPA involved and within a week or so everyone over there was arrested and their kids taken by CPS. The house stayed empty for over a year while the owner did all the legal wrangling to try to avoid having to pay $40,000 to clean up the contamination. It was finally all done, they gutted the house and installed all new walls and floors, hauled out about 6 dump trucks full of soil and replaced it. There's a real nice family living over there now

Another poster suggested calling in a 'shots fired' report every week. Not a bad idea, but also call the fire dept. and tell them "I smell something burning very strongly, maybe plastic" They WILL check it out and do something.

Thanks it was good while it lasted. The shots fired thing is a nice idea BUT we have shots fired here all the time. It isn't a big deal even we are biweekly shooting at something dogs, skunks, critters.......so it would probably be wnother "weird" lady call if I did that. They would think , well lady you are in the middle of nowhere and uhhhh people are always shooting. It isn't an unusual thing around here but I could go the route ummmm shots fired next door at the drughouse ..... it's a thought. My peaches are getting bigger, the orchard is on the fence line near them....last year I waited and let them get huge and was waiting until they were just right. I picked and worked on those trees all summer waiting on those peaches and I'll be ****** if they didn't get stolen. My PEACHES !!!! So ummmm I will be firing some shots if I catch anyone in my mini orchard this year. I feel like a hermit little old lady with no life watching my neighbors like a hawk.......it's enough to drive this old lady NUTS!!!!
