Dont know if it will help, but 2 months ago I came down the what I thought was food posioning. When I finally went to the Dr. after 3 days of horrible pain and not being able to leave the bathroom for more than 5 minutes, he said I had viral gastroenteritis. It was really nasty! I would not wish that upon my WORST enemy!! I was out a week with that crude. Then when I did go back to work I found out that two other people in my office was out with the same thing. And we have a total of 5 people in our office. It was a nasty bug that went around for a month or so. Two weeks after I got rid of it I got it again.
