I just got an email in response to my egg selling ad on Craig's List offering me a free ipad if I just clicked on their website. I didn't and expect it is a phishing email. I reported it to Craig' List but, if you're advertising, be aware of what is going on.

The same scam is also going around on Facebook. Worse yet they seem able to use individual's FB accounts to send to their friend lists, so it looks like your friend sent it.

With the FB one, it pops up in a chat window. I know none of my friends would post something like that, so I tell them time to change your password.

Apparently this one comes when you get a response to an ad like "When can we get together?" and respond to that. Then you get a second response in re to the ipad from another email acct.

I had to take the ad down as I was getting spammed from it.
