This is the non-drowning base.

That is the one I have. But when I put it in the brooder, it kept tipping over. Make sure you put something under it to keep it steady.

I am sorry to hear about your chicks. But I wanted to thank you for the posting. I have never heard of this but will be doing the marble/rock thing from now on.

For a side note somone complained about how far away the TSC being 2.5 hrs away. Try being 30 plus hours away! When we visited my hubbys family last year I made him take me to the one near his home town just to see it! Talk bout me being lame huh.

Yeah, we are VERY FAR from TSC....I had to look it up on a google search to find out what everyone is talking about...and then I did a store finder and the closest one to me is:

195 miles away.......


not 30+ hours, but HELLO, no where near by!

Heck in 30 hours you could be in half way cross the country...where are you and where is the closest store???
