just viewing the firt picture, I was going to say the wound needs to be debrided down to healthy bleeding tissue. And maybe surgically revised.
The second pic looks much better. The wound may need continued debriding to remove dead tissue and trigger the healing cascade if it's not improving. (convert a chronic wound back to an acute wound)
I would not use any strange concoctions as washes or packing. Solutions should be isotonic or they can actually be damaging to healing tissue. For instance, Betadine or peroxide is not good- too damaging.
Hang in there, I have seen some horrible (human) wounds heal that I thought had no hope (ran a wound care center)Was there any structural involvement- tendons, etc?
