(Warning: morbid)... but pretty funny IMO

That is the remains of the mail carrier that brought bills....(in their mind, more bills, less treat money)

It's amazing what they find, isn't it? Besides the crab (which kinda freaked me out... I'm living in Maine, not really the "crab state" - and although I'm from Maryland it wasn't my crab!) some other weird things they've found is an ancient hand trowel, a cigar holder and an episode IV Hans Solo Action Figure.

What Solo was doing with the crab, I'll never know.

Yes, we generally have a lot of rain up here and this year is no different. But they dig and dig so between the digging and the rain, lots of things are unearthed.

I have little archeologists!

When we moved a few houses back, I had a dirt yard which I being the lover of gardens, decided to double dig in yards of compost (it was a city plot, 6X18 ft). About an hour in i start pulling out rib bones, and various long bones. I was pertty sure i just dug up someone's pet,

when the gal on the other side of the fence said the last owners had a dog, and they gave it BBQ bones. there was 40+ ribes and alot of cut shanks.

It sounds like your chickens have gone from archaeologists to antique collectors. Bet that Hans Solo figure is worth something.
