For healthier, better ID's birds?. But why go 30 mins when I can go 10?
I know but why should I have to make an hour round trip to get chicks when I could have 20 min round trip. I dont go to the closest one anyway. But I think I should be able to go to any tractor supply and not worry that the chicks are going to die. And if you were selling lemonade and you got 50 customers 10 stopped buying your lemonade would you stop selling lemonade? I wouldn't. See thats my point if a handful of people stop buying chicks are they gonna stop selling them. For healthier, better ID's birds?

I think the Key word is “continue.” I think they sleep like this when they are young. What I have noticed is that as they get older, they slowly move to roosts to sleep. I currently have 29 teenagers. Third night out of their box I had three up roosting in the roof rafters (where my older birds sleep), two on the roosts on the wall, and 22 in a pile on the floor. The night before I only had two in the rafters. I have plenty of roosting space for all. As they get their wings and learn their surroundings, I believe they will roost.
I understand where you are coming from. I do make thebextra trio to go get chicks i do it all the time. My point is I shouldn't have to take an extra 40mins out of my day. They vould just take care of there chicks like they are supposed too. I know talking about them won't do anything but its nice sometimes to vent about why your mad or upset. No, but if a fifth of your customers stop buying from you, a smart person would see why. If you're going to complain and trash talk a business, just go to one that fits your needs better even if it's further away
Maybe I would stop selling lemonade. And even if I didn't, wouldn't YOU feel better to know you are not supporting a store you despise?I know but why should I have to make an hour round trip to get chicks when I could have 20 min round trip. That's precisely the point.See with the one closest to me all there are are bad tings to point out. I'm not saying all tractor supplys are bad im saying some are. The other ones about a half hour away are good with chick care. But why go 30 mins when I can go 10?
I do go the extra 20 minutes all the time. But what im saying is why should I have to? If they just took care of the chicks like they were supposed to I wouldn't have to go an extra 20 minutes on the way there and on the way back. I have to take my time to go an extra 40 mins because people are to lazy and under trained to take care of chicks properly? What my point is why should I have to? I know why to. But why shouldn't they just train the workers. So I don't have to go another 40mins that I won't get back. That's precisely the point.
If you're complaining about how the chicks are treated, why would you care about driving 20 minutes extra?
Isn't it worth driving 20 minutes more for healthier chicks? Both for yourself and the chicks involved.
And I agree 100% with @Folly's place.
It does help to research and have some idea of the breed you intend to get.
That's how you can help yourself the most.
By the way, the chicks that aren't doing well, can we see them?
