Clucky, do you mean that I was with Sootfur when she was alone and will join the clan with her and I will be Firestar's apprentice?

"How did you survive alone, Sootfur?" Shadowfire meowed as they walked towards the fresh-kill pile. Sootfur froze. "Oh, no! How could I forget!" She turned and streaked towards the forest. Shadowfire jumped after her, yowling,"Sootfur, what is it?" As Shadowfire chased Sootfur, she noticed that Sootfur was making a beeline for the Twolegplace.
Suddenly, Shadowfire plowed into Sootfur. "Wha-" Shadowfire began, but she was cut off by her sister, who was calling out "Mintpaw! Mintpaw!"
"Who is Mintpaw?" Shadowfire asked, exasperated.
Sootfur seemed to notice her for the first time. "She is a barn cat that wanted to be a warrior. She would give me mice from the barn to feed me as a kit,but she ran away moons ago and has been wandering around the edges of the Clans' territory. I last saw her around here, but that was several sunrises ago. I know she would love to join the clan!"
"Yes, I would love to!" A meow came from behind them. They turned and saw a young gray and white she cat. Her green eyes sparkled with joy.
"Mintpaw!" Sootfur exclaimed.
"Don't call me that yet. I'm just Mint now." she corrected her.
"Come on! Let's take you to Firestar!" Sootfur mewed, and they ran for the camp.

"I wanted to go with Shadowfire." Cloudkit fumed her tiny tail lashing.

"Thank you Firestar." Shadowfire bowed her head in respect. "Come on Sootfur." she mewed.

Sootfur followed calmly but her mind raced. She waited for the beautiful gray cat (whom she had been told was her sister all in the same day as joining a clan), to speak.
 
Nightpaw sighed. "I know. Just wait until you are a little older, okay? When you're an apprentice, I'm sure you can go with her whenever you want!" she finished with a laugh. "You must consider yourself incredibly lucky to have a part-time mentor like me!" she said, purring.

Nightkit laughed. "Cloudkit, you're just jealous of my hunting skills!" she meowed, dropping to a crouch. She wiggled her little tail in the air, then pounced on Cloudkit.
