Silverstripe only looked at him. She hardly even ate her mouse.

Dapplestar growled, going back into her den.
Shadowpelt walked past her, his whole body submissive. He walked up to Kestrelflight, dipping his head. "I would like to go out and hunt." he said hopefully.

Silverstream remained frozen, even after the leader had gone. Rainkit tumbled up to her mother, cuddling next to her. Silverstream didn't react.

"Fine," Kestrelflight growled, ready to follow him.

Dapplestar gave the kits a dirty look when she saw them.
Inwardly Shadowpelt sighed. He turned and began to trot out of camp. He hoped Kestrelflight would cooperate and stay quiet while he hunted.

Ashkit watched his leader in confusion. Usually she was nice. He shrugged, maybe she's just worried about mama. He thought, and scampered after her. "My momma will be okay, Dapplestar. I know she will! You don't need to worry." he gave her a happy smile.

Rainkit curled her tiny body around her mother, and purred loudly. "You'll get better, I know you will!" she squeaked, smiling. Finally, Silverstream came out of her trance. She gave a violent cough, then began to sob madly.

Kestrelflight trotted after him, his pawsteps quiet, but stiff. "I can't believe I have to watch after him like a kit," he muttered.

"I'm not worried about her," Dapplestar growled, trying desperately to not take her anger out on the kit.

Shadowpelt's ears flicked back, and his eyes narrowed. Maybe... if I attack him... No... no, NO! I'm not going to give into my anger! He grunted, shaking his head and picking up his pace.

Ashkit cocked his head. Now he was really confused. "Who are you worried about then?" he asked, hopping alongside her.

"I'm not worried about anything," Dapplestar said. "It's just... your mother did something very bad, Ashkit." She glanced back at him, before going into her den.

Shadowpelt snarled under his breath, dropping to a crouch. He stalked up to a rabbit, ready to pounce.

Ashkit froze. He cocked his head, raising a brow. "My mama?" he wondered quietly. Suddenly, he was tackled by his brother. "GOTCHA!" Shadowkit squeaked, curling his nose up. Ashkit only laid there, stunned.

Kestrelflight sat in a sphinx position. (that's what I call it, lol)

Dapplestar chuckled a bit at the kits, but still had a bit of a guarded expression in her eyes. Kits grow up, she reminded herself silently.

(Lol!)

In a moment, Shadowpelt emerged from the bushes carrying his rabbit.

Rainkit pounced on her brothers.

Kestrelflight just watched him closely.

Dapplestar went inside her den.
