"W-what?" Owlpaw stammered, backing up, only to run into Mapleshade. She looked up fearfully at the WindClan deputy. "I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Sagestar will put an end to it," Maplestar mewed, burying the thrush before she headed back to camp.

"Why do we have to eat it?" Hailkit whined.

"Who's the father, may I ask?" Specklefur ventured.

"Of course not." Sagestar spat, narrowing her eyes.

Shadowpelt nodded, hurrying after his leader.

"Yeah mom, why do we have to eat it?" Ashkit meowed.

Troutfur's eyes widened slightly, his ears falling back. "Um, a tom named Reedwhisker." He lied.

Owlpaw stuttered, trying to come up with an excuse on the fly.

Silverpaw bounded around.

"If you don't eat it, you won't become strong warriors," Cloudbreeze meowed.

"Reedwhisker?" Specklefur cocked her head to the side. "Haven't heard of him. Is he a new warrior?"

Sagestar snarled. "Come with me to my den." She growled, and stalked off, expecting her to follow.

Shadowpelt paced the camp, thinking.

Ashkit and Shadowkit's eyes widened, and instantly, they tore into the fish, gulping the oily meat.

"Uh, yes. He was a rogue." Troutfur stammered, smiling reassuringly.

Owlpaw followed, holding herself low under the burning gazes of her Clanmates.

"What's up?" Kestrelflight asked, padding to his friend's side.

Hailkit and Nightkit began to eat it too, suddenly ravenous. Cloudbreeze shook her head with a smile.

"Ah." Specklefur nodded.
