"Yeah, as long as you don't splash around," Cloverwhisker mewed as they approached the river. She pointed with her tail to the cluster of fish in the center, in between Sunningrocks and the RiverClan bank.

(Sunningrocks belong to ThunderClan right now.)

Moonshine risen up, " I will join this clan and put my heart in it." She demanded.

"Good," Maplestar meowed. "Come with me." She padded out of the den and leaped onto the Highrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

"There is a cat here who wishes to join ShadowClan," Maplestar began, her eyes scanning her Clan. Yowls of protest rose from the crowd of cats.

"But we need warriors with forest blood!" A cat protested.

"Yeah!" Another agreed. "ShadowClan needs loyal warriors! Who's to say she," the warrior glared at Moonshine accusingly, "won't go running back to her life as a loner or soft kittypet life when things get rough?!"

Maplestar yowled for silence. "I have already decided."

"But-" the second cat started to protest.

"Last time I checked, Thornpelt, I didn't appoint you deputy." Maplestar gave the warrior a hard look. She searched the crowd for Shadowpelt. "Shadowpelt, Sandfeather, what do you say?"

Shadowpelt was snapped from his thoughts by Maplestar's voice. He padded to the edge of the highrock, looking up at his leader.

Quote: Sagestar trembled with fury. "The twolegplace?!" She seethed, her words hissing through her fangs.

"Nothing.." Shadowpelt replied, curling his tail around his paws, then uncurling it.

"No, please!" Troutfur meowed, then blushed a deep, but bright red.

"Yes," Owlpaw yelped.

Silverpaw gave him a hurt look, before padding over to join Stormpaw.

Specklefur blinked. "You... want me to stay?" Her eyes lit up, and inwardly she wondered why she was so happy to be around this cat.

Sagestar rose to her paws, and advanced toward the apprentice. She looked ready to rip Owlpaw's head off the way her fur was bristled, and even her claws were unsheathed. Then, just as soon as her anger came on, it left. She sat down again, closing her eyes. "Why, Owlpaw, why did you do this to me? To your clan?"

Shadowpelt cocked his eyes, wondering why she would be offended.

"Um.. yeah." Troutfur nodded, his cheeks red.

Moonshine watched the crowd and growled at them protesting, but didn't say a word.
