Sagestar rose to her paws, and advanced toward the apprentice. She looked ready to rip Owlpaw's head off the way her fur was bristled, and even her claws were unsheathed. Then, just as soon as her anger came on, it left. She sat down again, closing her eyes. "Why, Owlpaw, why did you do this to me? To your clan?"

Shadowpelt cocked his eyes, wondering why she would be offended.

"Um.. yeah." Troutfur nodded, his cheeks red.

Owlpaw didn't respond; she just looked at her paws.

Silverpaw groomed her tail.

A tiny smile curled up Specklefur's muzzle.

Maplestar flicked her tail at Moonshine. "I'll handle it," she growled.

Owlpaw didn't respond; she just looked at her paws.

Silverpaw groomed her tail.

A tiny smile curled up Specklefur's muzzle.
"You've caused pain, mentally and physically, to me and everyone else in the clan. You've caused Shadowclan to become angry, and even attack! And now I hear, you wish to become a kittypet. Well, Owlpaw, I'm saddned to say that I will be losing a good warrior, but I wish for you to leave. If that is what you want, go join the twolegs."

Shadowpelt frowned, clawing a gorge in the dirt with a claw.

Troutfur looked away, pretending to scan the trees.

"No!" Owlpaw yelped.

"Specklefur!" Smokewhisker's yowl sounded behind her. She turned and looked at the black WindClan tom.

"What?" She grumbled irritably.

"Come on!"

Specklefur loked at Troutfur quickly. "When can I see you again?" She whispered.

"No!" Owlpaw yelped.

Sagestar fixed Owlpaw with a hard gaze.

"S-soon. Tomorrow evening. Here." Troutfur hissed, pretending they were arguing. He shot Specklefur a look that said, 'play along'. He swiped a paw at her head, careful to leave his claws sheathed.

"Please!" Owlpaw pleaded.

Specklefur, catching on, took a swipe at him, keeping her claws sheathed and purposely missing him. "See you then," she hissed back, bounding after Smokewhisker.

"Is he bothering you?" Smokewhisker asked, shooting a glare at Troutfur.

"No, it was my fault," Specklefur mewed, "I was on RiverClan territory by accident." She lied. Smokewhisker meowed something back in reply, their voices dying away as they got futher and disappeared over the moor.

Sagestar pinned her ears, but let her fur fall flat. "Alright." She meowed, after a pause. "But, as your punishment for causing this turmoil, you will not become a warrior until I have allowed it."

Troutfur sighed with sadness, then turned, and loped back to Riverclan. He picked up his fish along the way, and padded into camp.

Owlpaw couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed, even though she knew she had gotten off easy considering. "Okay," she mewed.

The next day, Specklefur waited by the border, right on time.
