The next day, Specklefur waited by the border, right on time.

Sagestar gave a curt nod, then flicked her tail, telling Owlpaw to go. "Get Mapleshade."

Troutfur slunk through the reeds and emerged at the border. A broad smile washed over his face. "Hi." He said, purring.

"You better believe it," Specklefur purred. "Mapleshade's assigning her to cleaning out the elders' den every day until further notice."
