was (Q on mixing color Coturnix Quail) now is - Making Jumbo A&M

It depends, if you're selling at Sano, most that buy them either do so just because they are quail, or they want only browns, since they are bigger. I have had a few people that asked for only tuxedo eggs, but most people want the jumbo size. Now, if you get a jumbo tuxedo, then there would be a big demand I'm sure. I like the tibetan color myself, without the tuxedo pattern. So everyone's different, it just depends on who you talk to.
You probably have more tuxedos than you think, some of the ones I have are tuxedo, but only have white (yellow) on their faces. Still tuxedo, just not marked very well.

Personally, I don't really like the tuxedo pattern, but a lot of people do.

Yeah, I like the goldens too. I like the lighter colored ones better than the ones with dark spots on them. But I think colorwise, my fav would be the rosettas, or the red/goldens. Those are pretty too. Personality would be the jumbo browns, except when they are trying to eat me. Would hate to have them in a walk-in pen, and let them run out of feed. Probably would be missing a few toes when I made it out!

you make it sound like she was laying for me

If she was then yes I was insane. But her issue was she was not laying at all or when she would lay it was nothing but the membrane no shell. Unsure what her problem was but yes if she would have stayed laying nice sized eggs she would have been perfect for a good monster bird project...I do have her prodigy here though... and they are all tuxeods

And aren't huge sadly. Some do lay HUGE eggs though so they probably got that from her

I think age was her issue sadly.

Shelley, I'm the same I LOVE the goldens with NO black, I guess they are called cinnamon goldens if they have that cinnamon red or maroon-ness to them. A lady just contacted me reciently she may be amember of BYC I am unsure... anywho she sent mea picture of some of her birds...she has a golden roo i'd DIE FOR!!! He's got NO pattern on his back... none... he looks like a fawn but he's not he's a golden with vertually no pattern he's deffiantly drool-able

i like the idea of miwed colors in a single community pen. it gives it more visual variety and its a surprise when you hatch eggs. this is impracticle though if you want to keep breeds pure and keep track of lines. i dont mind mutts though:idunno
