If she was startled in the middle of the night, it may have just came out early and might not be a calcium issue... I have seen it happen during a bad storm at night and not had issues afterwards... if it happens again or regularly, then it's an issue...

It was in the best box sometime between 3-8 pm. When I went to tuck my girls in around 8 one of them was in the nest box when inw not to kick her out she left on her own and that’s what I found. I also had a shell less less egg in the coop. I have 4 and 2 of them lay nice and hard shell eggs regularly. I have one that went broody and then one more. Have not been able to catch who gives me a green egg. I don’t get green eggs regulary i was thinking that was due to winter. But know I’m thinking my non broody and the other one are both laughing my but having issues.
They have oysters in two different feeders but they don’t eat very much if any at all I was not worried due to my first two layers eggs have always been nice and hard. So do I give my mystery layers some thumbs

We have gotten now 4 shell less eggs well 5 counting the one in the photo (found a shell less egg in the coop today too)

I’m not using layer feed, I was wanting to just use a grower, all flock and have calcium on the side. Do I need to switch. I have two gals that are giving my hard shells
