Was this an egg or just poop

I’m not using layer feed, I was wanting to just use a grower, all flock and have calcium on the side. Do I need to switch. I have two gals that are giving my hard shells


If they are not supplementing themselves properly with the oyster shell, it would be best to switch them over to a layer feed... some can lay fine with lower calcium intake than others, but most need that extra calcium...
 
I purchase some layer feed and will feed it as a treat till the other stuff runs out. I tried this with the oyster shells and yep non of them wanted anything to do with it. I got my two girls to eat a couple bites of crushed thumbs before the temptation of getting out of the run was to much for them so I will try feeding them more layer when they are not itching to get out and free range.
Yes it was an egg I cleaned it up and there’s no doubt.
How can I get them to eat the oysters shells. They don’t seam to like it I though they were just getting enough calcium and that’s why they were not eating it but...
