Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

How about a willow fence? Just cut long (6feet or more) willow branches and stick them in the ground. They will provide a living fence (but it needs annual trimming) in less than a year. You see them a lot in England.
what a fabulous idea! I recall sprouting willow when I worked for the parks dept, but never saw anyone grow a willow fence, so had to look it up- a simple internet search of "living willow fence' found some amazing designs! Now I'm inspired to find a nice willow to get some branches from!

Oh my goodness TPT!! I hope you get some rest soon! If you have a vaporizer and mint extract in the house, it's worked wonders for me.

I'm glad you got your chores done! Such dedication (LOL!! :D )

thanks for the advice re size of coop for my "too many" chicks. Looks like I will have a white wyandotte, columbian
wyandotte, silver laced wyandotte, Dominique, buff Polish, black Polish with white crown as extras so let me know if you need any of these.
No charge, just hoping they will go somewhere they are wanted and not just to the stew pot !

Carolyn- Thanks for your well wishes on us finding a house! Is it you that has the new WA chicks? They are so darn cute.

Quote: I don't know, but I have met a few that will be there so I will be looking for them to point out others. I am sure I will post what I will be wearing to the show the night before

Quote: I think I will do the same as far as meeting at the show. I will figure out something to wear that will stand out at let ya'll know how to find me!
My new babies. THANK YOU!!

Oh they are so cute, what kind?

Hey guys does anyone know anything about joining 4H? My daughter wants to show pygmy goats. Shes 9. I am not sure we are going to be able to get one yet or not BUT I wanted to look into it. I wanted to know about the cost involved and if the animals show have to be registered or what rules or whatnot are involved...
You can usually check at the schools, or ask your neighbors. Another option is to go to the fairs this summer and ask the kids that are already in 4H.

I don't know that i want something permanent. The shrubs I've put there will fill in eventually.

You could have our resident metal artist sculpt you some 7' tall chickens and stand them up together.  That would block the view and add a whimsy to your yard.  You don't have to water them either.  :lau
You could prolly get CR to build one once his plasma cutter is up and running. Hahaha

I do, my son did the dairy goats until he was too old. It's so good for kids. If you just want to show only 4-H than they don't need papers. PM me and we can talk love to help you.
