Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Quote: Leghorns are quite small, yet they lay HUGE eggs. Small chickens aren't necessarily bantams. I had Icelandics for a while, and although they are very small, they are not considered a Bantam.

You are I think referring to the parent (father of a hen), whereas CR was talking about the rooster that is currently breeding with the hen that lays the small egg. Two entirely different things.

It sure is hot here to me. Sun out. Cherry and plum in bloom. Spring is almost to you guys. I hit spring just below Portland. The first Daffs and a pink tree. I took some pics. Will try to get them off my phone sometime in the next few days. When you leave your home for 6 months is sure gets dusty.

My neighbors dog barked most of the night, someone was having a party in Spanish, our ears are ringing and there are people everywhere. Clicking red ruby slippers together, no place like my other home. Did I say it is hot. It must be in the 70's. The further south we came the hotter it got. I came dressed in many layers and started taking them off as we went south till we hit Redding and by then hubby is giggling and daring me to take off more. I didn't.

By definition a bantam is just a small chicken. not sure why everyone says a small chicken doesn't mean it's a bantam. Please if the dictionary is wrong what does classify a chicken as a bantam? As far as i've always been told and read a bantam is simply a mini of the regular sized breed.

ban·tam

Quote: I remember that show. Great show.
Wish they showed that to kids in school.
Kind of like the food at the store they need to know the process from idea to finished product.

BTW..................
Not sure whom I felt more sorry for in the one showing the knuckle ball pitch.
The batter or the catcher they both in trouble.

Some teachers do play "how it's made" in class as a movie for movie day. When watching it here with my niece she got excited and said every friday is movie day and her teacher plays that show. :)

The BEST "How it's Made" is the one about panty hose. I can hardly get a pair on without running them, but the machines whip those babies all over the place. It was hysterical to watch!
