I have a lot of "pots" in my studio that didn't turn out as well as I thought they would. Either the shape wasn't right, or the colour a bit different from my expectations. Sometimes when I fire things, the slightest difference in temperature can change the shade. So, my plan is to do a retaining wall with cement/concrete(what's the difference) and put broken coloured pottery in it, like a mosaic.

Concrete has larger aggregate in it (gravel usually).

yeah. cement is an ingredient in concrete. it's usually sand, gravel, cement, water in various ratios. the cement holds everything together.

i'm not sure what cement is though?

LOL! RainMom, DFH saw the goat post this morning before I left for work! I almost had him ready to get one too!

Oh!!! Big chicken news! We FINALLY moved the chickers outside this weekend!! No more poopy basement!! We finish everything at dark so here's a fuzzy picture of the coop (still need windows and mesh for the vent holes) and Buttercup running to her friends.

Quick funny story...
So my weekend was so exciting, I slept like a baby. I woke up at 4:50am this morning to tell DH "Happy Birthday!"
It was so loud and out of nowhere, he just didn't know what to say!
I was dreaming he was on the phone with somebody and it was whoever he was talking to's birthday, so I really just wanted them to know that I wanted them to have a Happy Birthday I guess...LOL!

I also made my sweet tea to sweet in my dream......

Your excitement and energy are downright contagious!!! I'm glad you had such a fantastic weekend and shared it with us!

6, these guys are 'his' and he is feeding, watering and cage cleaning with minimal help 3 RIR pullets, 3-4 weeks old....

I really hate the fact that I am currently stuck "working for the man". Pay is great, but when I come home, I am unfulfilled. If I were a braver man, I'd put together a plan that would get me on the road that heads to where I need to be.

I hate hows society frowns on non-conformers.

I used broken small pieces of stained glass to do a counter top once. Turned out cute but hard to clean.
