Not a bad price at 75 - but I bet you could get her to go lower.
I was thinking of selling mine too. Same as that but I added the fan kit if anybody is interested let me know. PM would be best cuz it's been crazy busy so I haven't been on as much as I'd like . I just need to push through some Polish eggs then I won't need it.

My Belgians like to eat dog poo. It's completely disgusting. I chase them away but they keep trying to get back to it. None of my other girls do that.

our chickens eat dog poo. And our dogs eat chicken poo. We have a regular ecosystem thing going here.

:sick :gig :yuckyuck
Are you sure that is not the pure Orp? Looks like Buff leakage, not Red. And I am gonna say pullet at this point, but post a new pic in a couple of weeks.

Well, the one I thought was the Orp is a lot darker, blue, but almost black.  Leia always had a little red above her beak and was the lighter of the two chicks, here's Aurora Borealis:

ETA- she's not so very photogenic

The only thing that I can imagine being a problem with greens, is the pesticides and herbicides that are applied. Or, maybe the toxic sludge fertilizer or diary farm antibiotic-laden manure sluice they spray on it , which the plants soak up (this was the source fo the crazy e.coli spinach disaster a few years ago- the spinach soaked up toxic levels of e.coli). It's hard to beleive in this day and age that there's still lots of folks who are still under the beleif that they can wash off the toxins. Sadly, it's not possible with the amount of crap they are using to grow food- it soaks into the soil and uptakes into the root system. (Remember in 4th grade science how we soaked white carnations in colored water?). Iceberg lettuce, I know, is particularly high in tin , due to pesticides.

BTW- since we're on that topic- does anyone else use EWG;'s "dirty dozen" and "clean 15" for their produce buying guide? I've been using their guidelines for years, when I can't buy everything organic, I atleast avoid the worst of the toxic produce. http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/summary/ . I was so surprized to see blueberries end up on the dirty dozen list a couple of years ago.
I do know that for caged birds like canarys that you are not supposed to give them very much spinach especialy if they are in the sunlight.

Also, I've been meaning to mention this for awhile. My Dad and I run the Washington Junior Poultry Exposition at the Spring Fair and Puyallup Fair. The Spring Fair is April 18th-21st at Puyallup Fair Grounds. If anyone's kids would like to enter birds we can still take entries. Or just come take a look at the chickens! Here is the link to the to the premium book: http://www.thefair.com/_assets/ad778c2ceded687df9aa25f3bd8e735c/SF13_JrPoultry_PBook.pdf

If anyone has any questions please feel free to PM me.

Oh that's so cool Cieraphoto!! I will have ta remember this for next year, when the craziness of brooding these chicks and getting them set up at home has worn off. My oldest two would love this!
