Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Well I feel better today.
I have had a 3 day "CRUD" type flu that just sapped all energy.
So, that means today I have to do 3X as much work...oh well !
Poop trays to clean, eggs to pack, eggs to clean, cornballs to move out of the brooder pen & into the tractor(stinky peepers

)..............after everything is done then I get to do more insulation and take a shower & get the itchies off !

I will be so glad when insulation is done.....and on to the lovely dusty sheetrock !

Later peeps !!!!!!!!!!

I'm stalling here.............can ya tell ?

Jess,

The ladies here at my office are willing to give me five bucks a bag. I'm happy to mail them to ya - but I'm sure you could make your own - If I can sew them, anyone can :)
I have 2 cases of about 25 totes sewn....and a couple big boxes of feed bags donated to me to make more.....I got to the point I made 15-20 a day...it is addicting, kinda.

Hello everyone! :) I have a seven week old Light Sussex that is a boy and needs to find a new home. Anyone interested in a rooster for your flock, you can have him for free. (If he's going to freezer camp, it'll be our freezer.) This picture was from a couple days ago...they are off heat now and running around with the big flock. Let me know if you'd like him, his name is Henry (used to be Henrietta!)

I recently joined this site and I am in Washington so I figured I should post here. I am looking for Australian Spotted duck breeders in order to find unrelated ducks. My hens are all related to each other but my drakes are not related to my hens or to each other so I am hoping to diversify my genetic pool by trading ducklings with other duck breeders.

Dave Holderread in Oregon has them - I got some ducks from him several years and they quality was great.

DW said I could have ducks :)
Some duck breeds produce more eggs (and larger) per year than chickens. I think they are easier to keep than chickens, and less prone to disease. IMHO. Some are really funny looking, and some (well all really) are great to eat except wild mud ducks. Himself said if he could only have one critter on our place, it would be ducks.
