Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

OK, just how much do those critter cams cost, and how wide a field of view do they have? Because I'm getting too old to deal with the bottom of the driveway, the top of the hill, and the two hollows you can't see into without going all the way to their edge.:old

Or, hey, you RC guys: how hard would it be to load a GoPro camera on a quadcopter or something?

Two miles on a quarter quarter section, with a gross 500ft change in elevation (actual net difference in elevation on this parcel= 150 ft). And I carefully filled my water bottle and then left it next to the sink.

And that red cow is still pregnant.

Hello all, new to this forum - and new to raising chickens. I've got six 2-1/2 month olds. All different breeds. Anyone else in the Maple Valley area? I've got an almost 2 yr old daughter that I'm always looking for playmates for!

Welcome. I have a 3 year old, but I'm nowhere near Maple Valley, unfortunately!

Hey, have you been away or have I just been spacing out on your name?

And yes, I admit I'm an idiot about half the time, oh, well.

My schedule has been crazy, with being in one show, rehearsals for another, a part time job, parties, and every other little thing that comes across my plate, I've been trying to keep up but I'm still over 100 pages behind!

My Wheaten Ameraucana chicks that I hatched from CGG eggs are 3 weeks old as of yesterday. They are thriving and growing and completely adorable! My Silkie moms are doing such a great job raising them and are a joy to watch with the babies. They are cautious when I'm near, but let me take photos and don't freak out too much if I pick up one of the babies - at least they don't try to hurt me! I've known some mean broodys before - so the Silkie moms are a refreshing change.

I have 6 other Wheaten Ameraucana eggs due to hatch tomorrow provided I haven't killed them. I mis-counted and accidentally put them in lockdown two full days early! I'm hoping I didn't drown them. I'm hatching them for my gf and I think she's going to be mighty disappointed if I screwed up what were perfectly healthy embryos 3 days ago.

I'm disappointed that NONE of my 12 bantam cochin eggs every showed signs of developing. I've sent a note to the breeder to see if she's having trouble with fertility this year. I was really looking forward to hatching some of those cute babies. I may try later this season.

And I just ordered a dozen F1 and F2 Olive Egger eggs from cpartist. I like that her olive eggers have varied feather coloring. I just hope they make the long trip safely in travel. They're coming a long way (from Florida).

So I took pics of the chicks. I hope you guys don't mind me sharing a bunch of them. Looks like I lucked out. Pretty sure I've got two girls and only one boy out of my three! (Anyone else needing a nice Ameraucana boy for their flock)?

The two moms co-parenting their babies. Lucille in the background and proud Priscilla in front.

So I'm sure I've missed some news from our WA BYC'ers in the past 100 posts. Hope you guys are doing well and Welcome to all the newbies!

We just finished the second weekend of my Reservoir Dogs show. I am having a fantastic time - what an incredible group of folks I've gotten to work with. True artists - actors, crew, director, everyone. I've gotten to know some of the guys in the mens cast and they are really cool. These people have a combined cast party every weekend and the parties are pretty legendary. Very funny and creative people.

I do want to share a particularly favorable review from Alec Clayton who usually reviews all Tacoma shows for the Tacoma News Tribune. I've gotten good reviews from him in the past, but he's pretty much ignored my work for the past couple of shows so it was very gratifying to read his words this morning. In short - he loved the shows, both the mens and women's casts. If you care to - his review is below -

And just because I am SO proud of this - These are the credits that run on the "warehouse wall" just after we exit the stage after the breakfast scene. Pretty incredible photos of all of us set to music - our stage manager Vanessa put this together. For those that don't know me, the character I'm playing is Jo Cabot, listed next to my photos.

I'm so looking forward to seeing my chicken lady friends from the North at the show this coming weekend! We'll have to plan where we want to go for dinner!

You need to look into a golf cart. Used are pretty cheap, can be modified with a tool tray behind you and they come in electric or gas.! It would make y our life way more pleasant.
