Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Well, the story continues: I'm going to meet up with the young woman with the Bantams on Tuesday and get the four extra cockerels to her, and buy a few hatching eggs to put under the Quail hen, who has gone broody at exactly the wrong time to sit SSH eggs, since they're all spoken for. I've got to clean and move the old hoop house and put Malvina and her kids there, move the Quail into the hatching cage, stick the porcelain in the Tower of Solitude, and then clean the wire kennal and use it to habituate two EEs to Dave and Bell before they're let into that breeding group.

Somewhere in there I need to build the shearing table and get the sheep pruned.

I need to have more me.

Of course of the 8 eggs I put under the silkies, 7 aren't fertile. Apparently Duke perfers specific EE girls to the wheaten girls I pen him with. I guess the ameraucanas get to stay penned instead of free ranging for a bit again.

I have two daughters from him, one ameraucana and one EE. The EE is a nice friendly, curious girl. So I can still get a few nice hens from him that I can use.

I guess I'll just give the four silkies all the eggs from the last few days that they can cover and hope for the best.

Quote: I have these two in a pen together since they are pets. I may let them hatch out one brood just to see what they look like. I would have to sell as pets since the cockerel has wry tail and it is hard to breed out. But I love his coloring and he is a great lap chicken. Loves to be petted.
He is super cute! I would have him as a lap chicken! She is cute too. What are her faults that make it so you can't breed her? Just curious. :)
She has poor leg/foot feathering and survived lead poisoning. She is way little, about the size of 3.5mo Silkies. Not sure she will ever produce eggs yet.

I want to say Welcome to all the new people!
X 2 !!!!

Where is this white? the only "white" spot I can see if the feather tuft over the ear itself. Maybe I'm just blind. I'll just chime in again since I already said it in the OEGB thread, but those are OEGB (I would bet the farm on it) just not totally sure of the color, although after stopping by and looking at some sun bleached Self Blues I'm leaning that way rather than a mixed variety. Where did they come from again?
I do not see any white ear lobes either...so it isn't you Matt !
Seems all I see is the hair tuft over the ear itself......
