Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

DH is a sys admin/desk top tech support guy for a bunch of structural engineers, cartographers, and "make sure the bridges meet in the middle" folks at WS-DOT (it was by ignoring the latter the project manager for the Sprague Street project proved that design-build is not a substitute for "check measurements") but even he would rather replace a bad computer than spend a whole weekend reviving one with a dead hard drive. Although I think Ogress's sounds more like a bad power supply or possibly a sick video chip.

I think in my case it is that DH spends all his days fixing bugs and such that any computer he sees outside of work must be for fun only. He blames everything on the fact that I have a Facebook account and other social stuff. I really hit a sore button with him when I got my i-phone as he works on the Windows phone.

On the other hand, we've always had Apple machines at home until our gamer-son built a Windows machine when he was in college: DH's career has been built on what goes wrong with MS products, and he prefers to relax from that grind at home.

Me, I just wish people would stop moving all the menus around when they come up with new versions of Office. I used to write, but trying to locate my preferred use of spell check (wiggly red lines distract me from what I'm trying to say!) and stuff like word count and formatting tools when they seemed to relocate from day to day shut down my writing brain, possibly for good.

So, yeah, best go get busy, eh?

I'm having a fun day with the diabetic management follies: two low BG events already, so with the eating of crackers and sitting until it's safe to stand stuff chick housing project is progressing not at all.

Cool! I don't raise ducks but I love Muscovies. Sometimes I think I need them to control the mosquito population! But I have enough animals.

You can never have enough animals. These are pure muscovy, moms and dad on site. :D
I have a few i picked out to keep for myself of course. But we're now up to 16 ducklings and 2 more eggs to hatch.

I have a few babies for sale $5 each. I will not travel with them you have to come here to get them. I expected a SMALL hatch and so far have 16 babies. I've picked out a few that I'm keeping other then that let me know,
I will also trade 3 ducklings for 40-50 lb bag of all stock, or 2 for a bale of straw/hay.
Will trade ducklings for laying hens as well (preferably large)
I am in tacoma.

Sorry had to... I rather them go to someone on here then someone off CL it's not that big of a deal to me to keep them. What i keep are for food. They are yummy meat ducks. They get BIG 10-18 lbs full grown. They do fly when older so once feathered they need their wings trimmed. They eat flies, and other bugs. I've even seen them catch and eat a bee. They love ants as well. They are great for controlling a bug problem. They are great garden ducks.
I handle them even though they are with moms, They hatched yesterday and today. Some are still hatching.
I love my babies. I refuse to post on CL because I've had bad luck with CL finding out people took chicks and then let them die without a heat lamp and such. I trust people on here are responsible.

Lovely flock - where did you get your Lav Orp?

One thing you can do about double/multiple posts is click the red flag, tag it as "other" and then say "double of post number so and so" as the explanation.

Although they are sterile, a Muscovy cross makes a good eating bird, and they are very pretty:

You don't have nearly enough - this would be a goodly number! (and that was less than half of them)
