I'd already promised to go to this swap months ago. It's not one of the auctions.

I'm torn now. I would absolutely love to see your house that you've teased us with pictures of. And your garden. I want to see the garden.

Same here Kim! I'd love to do both -- I've wanted to see CL's place for such a long time.

Lots and Lots and Lots. It's best known for repelling fleas (it protected the undertakers during the plague)! I've even noticed a tiny hint of lavender on the eggs I think! DH thinks I'm imagining it though. :) After I hang it to dry in the shed I cut off the flower heads and drop them into a bucket. A lot of the buds fall to the bottom and make it easy to grab a handful and toss into the sand in the coop. Every time a bird walks thru, or scratches, it releases a nice fragrance. Same thing when I'm cleaning every morning. Ahhhhh.

I'm looking for a judgement call from my fellow north westerners. I had been planning on my 5-6 week olds being out in the coop for their first overnight tonight. We've got a low of 55 tonight. Yea or nays?

They seem a little bit young to me, but I'm over-protective. I didn't leave mine out overnight until they were 8 weeks. At that age they were both big enough to stay warm and also defend themselves if the hens got too pushy with them. When I had them in their coop during the day in the 50s I noticed they huddled together a lot like they were cold. They all did fine nonetheless.
