Our chickens were terrified of cats when we got them. After a few weeks they started getting along. Perhaps your rooster will get used to the dog in a couple of weeks. Our cats jump on top of the coop and the chickens don't care at all now.I'm in spokane Wa and have a D'uccle rooster I picked up but the lady lied to me and said he is good with dogs. That is a lie he is completely terrified of them so I'm trying to find him a home with no dogs as I feel it is really unfair for him to stay here.
He is literally endangering him self trying to get away from my dogs. He just runs and almost broke his neck running into my fence. So no he isn't going to get used to the dogs. I have chickens that am were afraid but now are okay with them but he is completely terrified of them.
