Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I've been worming once a year with Valbazen. Wait 10 days, redose. They get Eprinex a couple times a year. I will frontline the whole lot if I start seeing lots of mites. I try not to use it to often. Don't want the insect freaks building up resistance. And that gets really expensive real fast with all the birds.
So true !
I forgot to say in young birds (not laying) I do use Wazine to worm them, mostly to not build up parasitic resistance, but young birds not at POL, there fore we don't have to toss the eggs out.
Wazine is relatively cheap to use, but doesn't do anything to body mites or scaly leg mites.
Frontline is sooooo expensive !!!

I've used all three of those in the past. I don't like using the Ivermectin only because my stupid dogs eat the chicken poop and I haven't paid the money to get them blood tested for the MDR1 mutation.
A good reason to worm your pups now....after they eat chicken poo.................

Mine doesn't eat chicken poop but LOVES elk & deer poop and heaven forbid if there is a dead critter somewhere...he rolls in the gunky black stench!!!!.....ECK!!! OUTSIDE DOG forever !

You might try the little Latino food shops. We were successful in off loading ten of our roos.
That's what I do...we have many Latinos who work for us, and they are more than happy to have the extras, and I give them my extras for free.

And if no one shows up after I put the word out, we thump them & haul them to the dump, no sense feeding them. I thought about doing surgery & caponizing the males, but still, they eat & take up space & housing I do not have as yet, we just finished building our house last year.
