I learned the hard way at a young age not to eat unidentified mushrooms. I was 2 at the time and I still remember the trip to the hospital and them trying to make me puke. It's got to be pretty traumatic for stuff to stick when you're that young.

I ate an entire bottle of children's baby aspirin, the orange flavoured ones...YUM !
Yup, a trip to the hospital for me, too...but I still LOVE baby aspirin !

So I let the Horde out...and they had a great time in the garden.
The mob consists of "Silvers" which are Silver Cuckoo MaransxBielefelder cross hens, Wheaten Am hens, Olive Egger (Blue & splash) hens, these girls make some nice huevos.
 
I live up in Whatcom County. Is there a certain place that you all buy chicks/chickens in Washington, Oregon or California? I would much prefer buying them when they wouldn't have to ship so far! I'd rather buy chicks that are day old up to 6 weeks old. My very first chick order was from My Pet Chicken. I felt so bad that they were in the mail for 2 days! Our feed stores only have chicks in the spring too.
