So everyone is talking about Vitamins and what they take. Here is my daily diet..: I drink 2-4 cans of diet coke everyday, eat around 6 of those bite size candy bars a day. Have 2 chicken sandwiches on bread with extra gluten in it and get about 4 hours sleep a day. two hour nap when I get home and 2 hours before I go to work at midnight.
Every year when I go in for my annual physical my doctor says. "everything looks GREAT, keep up whatever your doing"
LOL, what kick you are! I could probably do better with my diet but no time to pay much attention to it (it does take thinking and time)
so I guess it's similar to you Ron!

They're going awry again! Aaagh. Last night at Girl Scouts, the leader reminded us that the girls needed to be at the Green River C.C. theatre Saturday morning.
I knew about that one a few months ago, but forgot to put it on my calendar. She'll be done at noon - then, I guess we rush to get to Chehalis. My husband thinks it will take us an hour and a half to get there?
Hopefully we'll get to see some of the poultry show.

Glad everything turned out OK. well you know us men, we are ALWAYS another story
As far as the diet thing goes. I think its in your DNA or genes. what ever you want to call it.
I don't know what allergies are , I don't know what heart burn is, don't know what high blood pressure is, don't know what its like to get 7-8 hours of sleep at one time.
BUT.. I DO know what gas is
can't be perfect
I knew a lady that was a health nut! didn't eat anything that was NOT organic or good for her.. no coffee, no soda, no candy and on and on. Her and her two sisters AND her Mother ALL died of colon Cancer BEFORE they were 60 years old!!!
I booted the chicks to the greenhouse, under a heat lamp again. The bigger boys (Cocoa and Rocha) got into a bit of a battle and were flying into things. I hope it's warm enough out there - in any case, I figured they needed to take a chill pill.
In the mess of it, I heard a sound that wasn't a peep - sound more like the beginning of a cock-a-doodle-do.
I hope it was just a grunt from someone slamming into something. I don't need any crowing until these boys are off lights... and able to handle a trip to auction.
Oh... funny story... I have to share, even though DH probably wouldn't want me to. Last week, with all the Cub Scout stuff going on (four events in one week), DH had to stay home from Cub Scouts to take care of Pack Committee paperwork. Right before we left, my SIL came by and told us that a cop was going through yards with a flashlight. I didn't think much of it (can you tell this is quite common?
). The cops are often looking for rif-raf in our neighborhood from the Casino. Police helicopters buzzing our house are common, too. People who are running from the cops think they can climb down the cliff and get away, which gives us a chuckle, because we know they're going to pay natural consequences that way - the cliff is steep and easy to fall down. So I'm thinking no big deal, cops again. They're on the lookout, they'll deal with it. Well, the kids and I went to Cub Scouts. DH kept hearing something over by the door and it was beginning to freak him out. He finally went and got his gun, loaded it, and sat at the table to finish his paperwork with his gun next to him. After a while, it dawned on him that we have chicks in a brooder right next to the front door.
The chicks had gotten into a bit of a tiff and were bouncing off the brooder walls.
OK so here is what may be one of the S T U PIDest questions EVER. How do I get a hen TO GO BROODY ??? See I have hatching eggs coming and Silkiebator is refusing to return to work!!!!! The BBBB rat !!
My DH had just been released from the UW after his second liver transplant and needed to go back for a recheck a few days later. We had to be there at 7am so I was outside at 5 am in the dark feeding horses. One of the horses must have mistaken me for another horse getting too close to her food and felt her get ready for a kick. I would have gotten out of the way in time but tripped and she caught my head on my way down. Broke my glasses and had a nice bloody gash on my forehead and across my eyebrow. I ran in the house and DH tried to put iodine on it from the swabs he brought home from hosp and I kept trying to tell him you are not suppose to put iodine on cuts that need stitches. He wasn't listening. I had to physically keep pushing his hand away. He still had not recovered in the brain part as it takes awhile for the new liver to clear out his system and it was getting quite messy. I called the neighbors for help since I didn't know what to do and how to get DH to the UW and me to ER. It all worked out. A friend took DH and the neighbor took me to ER. Quite an eventful early morning to say the least.

High doses of fish oil help me (I'm bipolar) but it's really hard to take enough. I'm supposed to take 6000 mg a day.
It can really upset the tummy. If I take less it doesn't do much for me, so I tend to not take it. ugh. And it is stored in the freezer so I don't see it, and I'm not reminded to take it.
I have also had issues with Soybean oil...soy, and maybe a few other things and am getting allergy patch testing next week.
So, maybe that is your issue too ?
You can be Celiac and have allergies.
Doc discovered that if I take an anti-hystamine I feel better (but sleepy) but it helps relieve the athsma-breathing restrictions, so yeah, it is an allergy.
That is so funny you brought that up as I've really been thinking a lot about allergies and getting the testing done. I've had an issue with breathing too, but I've attributed it to my obesity. But in spring of 2011 and that following fall I ended up with Bronchitis (or something like it) and was coughing my head off for 6wks and then 8wks. I had a short bout of it the end of this summer also. Even in between episodes I could easily go into a coughing fit, especially when laughing. They did an x-ray of my chest and didn't see anything abnormal so who knows?! I've never smoked cigarettes in my life but I sure act like a smoker!
Greg, that article you posted on the increase of celiac disease is very interesting. I've wondered about how many people buy GF because of it's "fad status". I find it disturbing that so many more are being diagnosed in recent years. That diagnosis is done by blood test and biopsy of the small intestine so there is no faking that! I do truly believe it stems from the "advances" in agriculture. I don't believe our systems are meant to digest so much grain, but then the "experts" say that needs to be the greatest portion of our food everyday. The old food pyramid was basically the formula used to fatten up meat animals!!!!! I feel that Earl Butz, Secretary of Agriculture in the 70s, and his "get big or get out" policy has kinda screwed us up by shoving grain into just about everything in the grocery store.
I keep thinking about my dad telling me how he, on multiple occasions, saw his mom eat bits of raw hamburger while she was preparing food and NEVER got sick from it. Of course, that meat was from pasture raised beef living off food it's system was built for.
Thought I'd take a pic of our lunch...that the kids specifically requested today. They opened the fridge and chose all this stuff! LOL Everybody is now chowing down and I wouldn't be surprised if I need to find even more for them to eat. Glad my kids like to eat healthy
