Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I've got a question. I just cut vinyl gutter in half so that I could make a trough chicken feeder. How high should I put it off the ground? I'm using fermented feed if that makes a difference. I put each end of the gutter in the end of a cinderblock, with the cinderblock on its side it seems too low but when I put the cinderblock op on it and it seems too high. Any suggestions?
Might think about running a dowling inside about towards the top screwing to the sides
that way they can't stand in it, your height of cinder block on it's side should be good

I watch them for a while and they just seemed to walk through it when it was that low. I'll have to do some modifications to it this weekend. Maybe find a Dell or something to put over the top to keep them from walking through it.

let me go take a photo of mine got em

the bar across the top rotates you could screw the gutter to something like
a 4x4 or stack 2 2 x 4 lengths no longer than the gutter section the photo is of an empty one right now

Number 7. Going to have to go find the other juice crates and make more nest boxes. Seem to be running out.
Those eggs are really nice. Are they from Ameraucanas? We have an EE that hopefully will lay some like those.
Those are wood eggs to get them to use the new nests.. I did have an EE that laid that exact shade of green. It was Mom's favorite.

I'm having trouble orienting to what I can see in the picture. My vision is pretty bad so sometimes it's hard for me to tell what I'm looking at even with my magnifier. Do you have a picture from another angle or something?
