No one should use antibiotics willy nilly, EVER..especially in the case of CRD's or other flock illness...if your entire flock is sick, it needs to be culled, there is some bad bad stuff going on there, and I have not seen flock-wide illness in years...Any opinion on hygromycin B vs fenbendazole based de-wormers? Hygromycin is officially approved to treat chickens, it looks like, but I don't really like dosing antibiotics willy nilly, and it seems to be more limited in the types of worms it kills. This is available in pellet form.
Fenbendazole is available in liquid (add to water) for goats and as a tube paste equine dewormer. This seems specific to worms while being broad-spectrum.
There is also liquid "Wazine" that is specific to adult roundworms.
More than likely, the reason why is because we stopped using flock-wide antibiotics.
I think you were thinking "anti-helminthics".not antibiotic.
And your ideas are just.
