Any opinion on hygromycin B vs fenbendazole based de-wormers? Hygromycin is officially approved to treat chickens, it looks like, but I don't really like dosing antibiotics willy nilly, and it seems to be more limited in the types of worms it kills. This is available in pellet form.

Fenbendazole is available in liquid (add to water) for goats and as a tube paste equine dewormer. This seems specific to worms while being broad-spectrum.

There is also liquid "Wazine" that is specific to adult roundworms.
No one should use antibiotics willy nilly, EVER..especially in the case of CRD's or other flock illness...if your entire flock is sick, it needs to be culled, there is some bad bad stuff going on there, and I have not seen flock-wide illness in years...
More than likely, the reason why is because we stopped using flock-wide antibiotics.

I think you were thinking "anti-helminthics".not antibiotic.

And your ideas are just.

Hello all! Im a new-is chicken owner, I've had them since August of last year. I will be moving out of AZ, my current location, in two years, and i am hoping to get some Info about the Anacortes area, and chicken-owning laws there. I'm hoping to own a farm a few years after having lived there, with a stable job to save up, and of course, pay for simple commodities until then (I.E. - rent, bills, fooooooddddd) .

Would anyone be able to tell me the laws for owning chickens in Skagit County? Preferably near where the water is. I am hoping to rent a cabin fro my aunt, with only half an acre, right on the beach. Legit, the water level goes down, and the island across from us, we can walk to it through that awesome clay-mud-fish remains.

A dog walks into a bar and sits down on a stool. Everyone looks at him, but no one says anything. The bartender thinks this is a joke, but goes along with the gag. Bartender: "What do you want?" Dog: "Neat scotch." The bartender serves the drink. Dog: "What do I owe you?" Bartender: "$10.00." Dog pays the man, jumps off the stool and walks to the door. Bartender: "Come back soon. We don't get many talking dogs in here." Dog: "At these prices, I'm not surprised!"

Quote: It is indeed a cute little cabin by the sea. My aunt and uncle tom own it. They offered to rent it to me, and offered me a job working for them in their 3 shops in anacortes. It is such a cute little nautical place, with homemade crab-pot tables, and a 1960's HS locker in the bathroom for towels and bathroom supplies, and huge drift-wood frame beds. Lobsters and crabs, red white and blue all around the house. Very cute. Perfect for two people and some chickens ^-^

though the backyard is a bit small, the chooks will prolly take most of it up XD Luckily i have an easily moveable coop here in AZ that i can legit stick in a Uhaul, put the chickens in a large dog crate, and be in washington in 2 days at most XD

Im only 17, but i've got the whole thing planned out.

I love washington. so beautiful, and it often rains, which is my favorite, not to mention the SEAFOOOODDDDDDDD
