Thought I lost a hen today. Looked all over for her, and couldn't find a trace. She's molting hard, she can't walk without leaving a trail of feathers so a predator would have left a ton behind.
Went out to feed bunnies and my rooster was over by the blackberry thicket. Out pops the lost hen.

I'm glad that you found her. When I went to lock up of the coop the darn chicken was in the nest box again. So I put her up on the roost.

That sounds like a chicken plot to give you a heart attack.

I tricked the big girls into their pen early this evening. If I dont, the ameraucana girls try and roost outside on the feed cans. Angel will not move either so I have to carry her inside to the roost.

She really hates molting and wants nothing to do with the other birds during the day. I'm thankful my rooster new exactly where she was and went to collect her for the evening. He's a good boy.
