The only glich with mixed is breeds is never know just what is the woodpile
never had mixed breeds working they where dead weight.. but we have three
now... I rescued raudy he is shelti / corgi great mix but he has alergies
snores so bad from them he sleeps in crate in our office far enough away I
can sleep an James cannot hear him he is close to 11.. nik was to be my Moms dog
but she cannot remember she has a dog looks like a bad brussles griffin just 1 yr old
ticha I our little guy pom x chi like 6 lbs barrel chest little tough nut it is a kick
if he is in my lap he does the snarl my momma he is about 5.. moose is the black
labrador heart of a marshmallow if you try to harm us he will kill otherwise he is
just love me dog him We paid 300 for he is 3 Zephyra is the granddaughter of
a dog I showed 12 years ago our gsd I was called as she was being put on cl
so we went and picked her up she is 11 .. then snow I had a dog food company for
for years... when I sold it the name I kept my recipe I sent that by email to snows

so can purebreds from the right people... the same is true in Chickens I imagine.. mine
I think will be mutts as Dad is a F-1 a mix mom easter egger or olive egger all mixes to create more olive eggers?
I actually corrected nicely someone today referring to Maran it is Marans

The problems start with the people who only see dollar signs. "I paid this much for this female so I'll make her have litter after litter and sell puppies to make tons of money." Then they don't do any health care on the puppies because that takes away from how much they make. Or they sell off the puppies too early because puppy food costs even though they are feeding the cheapest stuff. Or they use a male with known very bad hips to father all the litters on the female.

I actually know a couple people who were doing that. I yelled at the one who had two female border collies and a male with the bad hip dysplasia. They quit talking to me. All those people thought they were getting good dogs because AKC.

The other was cross breeding chihuahuas and dachshunds. I'd put her as a puppy mill. Had around 20 female chihuahuas kept in kennels with little care and two male dachshunds. They had a new litter every month. $2000 a puppy gone at 6 weeks. Not one of those animals saw a vet.

Someone taking care of their animals and only breeding healthy ones is a different critter compared to those who only see the money, not the animal.

Then there is my pet peeve. An f1 cross breed is not a new breed. It's a mutt. It takes several generations of breeding true to be a new breed.

The Maran/Marans thing though is because it's not english and is a place name.

There are a few breeds I cannot pronounce right. Actually, there are a few words I have trouble with so I try and use an alternative. And that's with me practicing and hubby laughing

designer dogs have no ground with me and often those saying oh we are careful retinal atrophy? brucellosis tests, ofa and pen-hip
are all things we can and do test for if we love are breed we know enough to breed out disorders and flaws weakness to some is gone
if we are diligent but you do not make money with solid genetics in a litter sound mind and body

Which is good job. That's how we learn stuff. It gets passed around and eventually all with be good with it
