OK, the storm is here, and DH is not home yet...........always delayed through Portlandia....................and the storm is here.

I got fresh buttermilk to do a full young hen tomorrow, yes the marinating has to be 24 hours on a fresh animal......let me know how it comes out. My family LOVED fresh buttermilk-friend rabbit.

Was just out in the rain locking the silkie doors after herding them back inside. The mama's had the chicks out during the rain gap. Now they are snug inside their house for the night and even the mama's are dry. Ashes had come running as soon as he saw me, begging for scratch. This might be the first night ever the silkies beat the big girls to bed.
