no rat's although dogs gsd and pyr bring mice and moles think they steal them
from the cats but no rats down here

Can't wait to see how those babies grow up. I may need a new cockerel if one of them has the right looks. They are 'great-grand-chicks' of one of my hens.

Can always tell when rats are an issue here. The voles, shrews, and jumping mice vanish. Our voles are medium rat size but have short tails and chubby faces. And are slow enough that I can run them down and catch them by hand. I think they are Townsend voles.
