I thought my roosts were too high so I asked my neighbor to lower them. Now I think they're too low because the poop bored is only 1 foot off the floor of the coop. They are able to walk under it to get in and out of the coop and they do hang out under there in this cold weather. It's just lower than I like. Oh well. It's going to have to work until spring. This is how they all stay warm. Within 10 minutes the two that are up high are going to come down and join the rest. My sick chicken has decided that she is all better now and is going to the roost with all the others.
I hope I have enough ventilation for the winter. That area on the back wall above their heads is all open except for chicken wire. And it's open all along the rafters around all four sides. I have the windows closed right now though.

That is the one. It's a bad picture but what do you expect from taking a picture in the dark with the phone all the chickens look gray or black except the one big white one. But they are actually many colors they just don't look like it at night.

There are 12 chickens in there. They're packed in like sardines but there still lots of room for more.
