Wow, it's going to get really cold again this week. I'm tired of the cold weather. On the good side though, I know at least two different chickens are laying eggs now. Two different colors of eggs. So maybe they will now start slowly giving me some breakfast.

sounds like it I have customers wanting up to 4 dozen each glad I only have three
and can say you will have settle for 2 this week my girls may slow down when I mess with them
but they get right back down to business within a day or so

My customers are dealing OK with me not having eggs right now. I told them that this would happen for a few months so they are OK with it. My best customer is anxiously waiting. I will have no trouble selling the eggs when they start coming in more. I'm just glad to know that more than one chickens laying eggs now. This really cold weather the next few days will probably slow them down again. I think the Bears have the right idea, hibernate during the cold weather.

I know 5 and 6 below zero this week and looks like we will have some 20 plus mph winds to Im sick of this stuff. Glad you are seeing some eggs my girls are still kicking them out 15 today.

We are 40 to 50 degrees now girls have settled into the new routine
with the two teenagers I through in they quit trying to kill them
I can hardly wait for spring God willing I will still be be here for it

My husband is spoiling our new LGD by bringing her inside. He lets her in the shop and for some reason he left her in overnight a few nights ago (during the fireworks people around us shoot off when the Seahawks win). She trashed his shop trying to get out so now he is bringing her in the house.

I am concerned that she is not going to be doing her job if he keeps bringing her inside. She has no manners so of course she is on the bed and drinking out of the fish tank (the turtle tank is too high). He put her back out but she has taken to watching the house to come inside instead of watching the flock. She has plenty of shelter and a thick winter coat so she is not too cold. She just likes to be with us and get attention like the house dogs. I hope he does not ruin her training by making a pet out of her because we have enough pet dogs already!

I hope he realizes that he is definitely going to ruin her training. You don't want her focused on you.
