It's not bad on price. The old net I had was 1 inch squares. It gathered too much snow. The 2 inch lets most pass through.

Another question : I have been reading a lot about pest proofing my coop. Lots of people bury thier coop. I'm worried this will rot the wood that runs around the bottom. Should I half bury cinder blocks and place the coop on top of those?
Hmmm?

Mine are jacked up with footings...which prevents rodents from getting underneath and making a nest.....better UP off the dirt .
One year I watched (in horror) as a SKUNK waddled under my front coop, and popped out IN the net covered protected pen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The skunk ate, waddled around & went under the coop & popped out on the outside & waddled off......................

We have wildlife cams set up all over...you would not believe what you will see !!!!!!!!

I lay my fencing down on the ground, it is called "no dig".............we also do "no climb"......it works excellent !! Now that I KNOW how predators get in...........and never forget OWLS...they can get your birds...unless the birds are enclosed at night

I do...and most all of it collapsed under the snow a few weeks ago...it is an on going ordeal, buy the net, attach it, then it snows, then it collaspes, then we wad it up & toss it, then we buy more, ON & ON !!




Same post...net is completely collapsed by snow...............and this is extremely bad for your birds...they get entangled easily...it is a nightmare to have heavy snow on bird netting !

I'd need rope to attempt that with the large fowl, but silkies will sit there. They are like little posable dolls.
