It is worse here !

Are guinea fowl just prone to randomly dying? I've lost two for seemingly no reason. All my other birds are healthy and happy but my guineas keep dropping like flies. Could it have to do with the unusually cold winter?
No..but maybe they had issues with no housing ?
Were they free ?
Were they enclosed ?

Ours ran wild and lived on the roof and had no issues ever...til Einstein said NO MORE, and so I sold them.

Odd but went to close the girls up... I lost a hen tonight one was laying behind the food
can I use plastic trash cans for food and one is corn mash.. rig had set in took her out
put her in a feed sack in the pump house, no obvious sign of trauma

What pretty eggs! That green is so bright. Makes me think of grass. And gardens. And Sping... Darn you! Seriously in need of some sunshine... oh, and pretty green eggs!

X2 luckily it didn't snow here today. But it rained. My backyard is one big mud pit. I want to start planting some foraging grasses etc. and also some clover. But I think it's still too cold. By the time it's warm enough it will probably quit raining. Those are gorgeous eggs.

Here are some really bad pictures of my checks :) is it too early to tell gender? They are around for weeks old.

No idea on sex, but they sure are in the little pterodactyl stage, aren't they? LOL I so love seeing the changes they go through. Except, once they grow out if the fuzzy stage, then I'm wanting more! NO MORE!!!
