Hey y'all how did your chickens hold up this crazy winter?

Well once they grew webbed feet and gills they had a swimming good time.


Mine do fine in it. They have dry places to stay and the inside of the pens are higher than the surrounding ground. 3/4 of the silkie pens are covered but those silly birds are obsessed with rain and getting their heads wet so they can see.

We theceltichorse Marcel came down bringing me 9 or 10 birds mostly cockerels and due to family issues
she now how her 2 year old granddaughter quite the cutie .... one or two are Frizzles, a few buff orpington
all are in my little grow out coop better only be a week as it was only meant for 3 or 4 birds in size

Yes. The picture would have taken better under sun. I had it in the brightest spot in the yard and even had the 2000 lumen flashlight on them to get a halfway decent color

I do understand that I am now getting the prettiest Olive deep olive from my one girl
actually getting more of the blue and green eggs than brown now kinda of a switch

It's because of the Barred Rock bred into the line. My third generation girls hardly ever miss a day.
