Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Well I found someway that I can eat cooked cauliflower. It works well in stir fry. That covers the flavor of it enough.

I like raw cauliflower, but the cooked flavor is just blech to me.

That will work out great and color other than white will be preferred

I normally only have partridge. Anything else is is just a random egg tossed in

This is partridge

just putting a little shout out for two businesses I've had very good luck with.  the Monroe co-op and jenks hatchery in OR.  I'm in shoreline and I've bought chicks a variety of ways, incubated shipped eggs and had meat chicks mailed to me.  the monroe coop is worth the drive!  they get 1,000 chicks a week with 30 varieties and the health has been great with the one's we got this year.  as for Jenks, they carry a specific line of Cornish Cross called the COBB 500 that are healthy, perky and are much more chicken like than other lines.  they grow fast, like all CX but they jump around, flap their wings and do the running flying things I'm used to seeing in healthy chicks.  I've had 100% livability with my Jenks order two years in a row.  Jenks is a straight shot up 1-5 so they arrive in less than 24 hours, their customer service is awesome, the owner spoke with me on the phone for quite a while helping me get my husbandry down, all for the sale of 25 chicks.  these guys care about even the little guy!

I drove all the way to Monroe co op for my Brabanter chicks! Nice place

We lost two within a week and one chick is deformed. No fault of the co op all the chicns there seemed healthy.

The mud. I've learned to love it, the pups certainly do. My pitlab does fine with the goats and other small animals. While driving down the dirt road he jumped out of the bed and ran after my neighbors cat. He simply stopped, sniffed the cat, and walked away. He's actually cautious around the goats and does not try to herd.. Not any more.. When they were kids he did. We'll see with the chickens but I suspect he will respect them like when we had a litter or rescue kittens.

Quote: My Pyrenees bought to protect the chickens likes to chase the chicks but treats adult hens
perfectly non pulsed with the birds, In large fenced area moose doesn't run the the chickens
and totally leaves them alone... I personally do have much balance I have nephropathy that
can cause me to fall being legally blind doesn't help I still hate mud
