are you replacing your entire flock or creating another one? I created another with my 11 Ameracauna

I have 3 flocks now I'm replacing the big one of 30+ birds I have 3 dozen young hens that are just cranking out eggs they are paying for allmost all the food.

see I am almost thinking my 5 original barred rocks are not laying much anymore I know of the 5 did get one from them few and far between thinking auction or stew they are my hatchery birds also but cannot keep feeding them if no eggs

Yup that's were I am just been putting it off because they were my first birds here I screwed up and named them but it must be done. Out of the older girls the Road island reds, black australorps, one EE and a golden sexlink are the ones laying still and the eggs are xl and jumbo the golden sexlink is a machine she has never stopped laying except for a couple of weeks had impacted crop but that's it an egg every day since she was 4 1/2 months old I should have her bronzed when she dies

being raised on a farm one thing I was taught early on... do not name what you may eat one day... my cockerel may have goofy names like stew but no real affection from me..

Snowy looks allot like Richards favorite girl all puffy butt right now with new feathers thinking about coming in

Snowy is her mom. She is always the first to start molting, and she's always the last to finish. Good thing is that she molts so gradually, she never stops producing eggs.

it has only been this summer I have been minus the barred's eggs did get one yesterday but all the others are green or blue two with pink... actually that is what she is doing still getting nice blue eggs daily from her

These are supposed to be Araucana just hatched yesterday through last night. Got the eggs in the mail from some people on BYC.

You can't really tell but there are little feathers that shoot out the side of there cheeks

makes them so cute as they get older love the cheeks hard as get out to sex going to take bf out with me single out the ones I think are put nail polish on the feet let them grow up a bit more then all but one will go to auction after they grow a bit more
