Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Hello! New here from Longview Washington. Currently prepping my yard for my first flock. Expecting to get some chicks in winter or early spring.

I’m in love with blue laced red wyandottes. I am trying to find someone semi local who breeds them as I would rather pick up my chicks instead of mail ordering.

Also is there anyone on here in cowlitz county Washington?

Welcome to the group!

I'm not near you, but hopefully someone who is will chime in

Silkie crosses are so cute. This guy is going to make me some little silkied EEs (hopefully). He's 14 weeks now and is calming down like the silkies his father is from. Goes still and doesn't fight when I get ahold of him.

This pullet is 17 weeks. Prospect for my breeding program.

Welcome hope you find the chicks you are looking for I don’t have any blue laced red Wyandotte birds. They are pretty birds though.

not sure if any of us have any while you here have about 4 or pullets from the hatch just enough the boys will all go to auction

So does anyone know the proper way to dispose of gypsy moth caterpillars?

I'm curious since my method is to climb up a ladder, cut off the branch, then burn it. Something easier would be nice. I don't like starting fires in the firepit at this time of year. Just did a 2 minute fire and stood there holding the hose waiting

sadly we were talking to today our Dads used wand's oil rags to burn them
that maybe try malathion in a spray bottle full on will try on ours also do not want to burn either

So hubby is stopping by Coastal after work tomorrow since they told me chicks come in then. *crossing fingers* hopefully he will be able to get me a few hatchery ameraucana chicks.
