Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Do not put cattle panels on grass and leave them for 6 months. Removing them is a pain. If I didn't know how many were there, I'd never have found them all. Buildup of dead grass had made them almost one with the ground.

After unburying those, I dug out the bottom 8 inches of fence around the silkie pen that had been buried over the last 4 years of built up soil. Pried up those back to ground level and infilled.

Tomorrow I can put up the last roof. Yay! No worries when it snows then.
That sounds like quite a chore! But I'm sure it will feel awesome once it's all done!

I think we have found our newest girl! A local chicken enthusiast has some hens and posted about them in our local chicken classifieds Facebook page. I was just curious about the breeds temperament and stuff and my husband saw the picture and fell in love. So before xmas we will be adding a orpington/wyandotte hen to our flock! Pretty excited. Any good tips for adding a new chicken to an existing flock. I have read up a bit but you guys always have great advice.

Seriously thank you! Without this forum I would be lost! ♡♡♡♡♡

Never try to add one go for two lowest Please

Easily done. The same lady also has a really cute orpington/cochin mix. So maybe we will have a flock of 5 instead.
Perfect chicken math I love it. It really will be better with 2. It’s funny I have a group of 6 blue icebar 1 is a rooster and I can put any chicken in there and no fighting, I have not seen that before.
