Oh yeah. Go out to the pen and find tons of feathers all over. Do a panicked head count. Find the hen who decided overnight to drop half her feathers

I’m keeping these and have them for breeders. I will have two more jumbo varieties if I ever get my egg order.

I am going to raise a bunch and try the eggs and meat myself. I have a couple of people that want eggs we will see where it goes from there.

I have one of these coming it has 2 sections on the bottom and the other two cages above are all open. It should hold all the quail I want to play with but I do have a double rabbit hutch with wire bottoms and pull out poop trays if quail math is as bad as chicken math.

I sure hope it all goes well kinda a giggle the three I hatched at halloween seem maybe just one is a pullet two where doing the chest bump yesterday when I was up cleaning

That’s funny do you know what kind of quail it is? I remember us talking about it but not sure if you ever identified it or not.
