Looks like about 3 inches so far but still snowing. Yes it is harassment it was such an easy winter till February started then had 0 degrees in first part of March I do not remember 0 degrees in March ever before even when I lived in Winthrop. It looks like it’s finally going to start warming up in another week or so.

Hi all! I Need your help!
What I thought was a Java... May not be a Java... when I saw a picture of a rooster I about fell out of my chair because that would mean... if and when Pepper started to crow... I’d need to re home.... but their are some traits and characteristics that don’t line up. For one Pepper is around 7-8 months old... Pepper also doesn’t have long neck feathers... but peppers waddle and comb is huge for a hen... but then I started reaserching mottled chickens and found Ancona.... what do you’ll think?

Not super sure looks pullet to me no long feathers on the tail ? @Hinotori asking a question of another person

That's a pullet. Some breeds the hens have big combs and wattles.

No hackle or saddle feathers

Ancona or Java? She has white ears not red... all the pictures I’ve seen Java’s have red ears

so ancona apparently some actually are very slow to start
laying I had purebred ameracauna that did not lay till them but may hide them also
