Butchering extra cockerels today the two bigger boys were much fatter than the smaller boys. The two big ones were meaner than snakes every time I would open the door to feed and water they would attack me, not anymore.

I have Randi in large wire crate but still will go in the car go in there twice a day
but refuse to put him back in coop I would butcher him but hands cannot pluck or skin
worth beans anymore so Friday he will go to auction

Poor Randi sure don’t know why some of them have brain problems. I have two more BCM’s that seem good and 3 that are being processed along with 3 cream Legbar a blue ice bar and a cross between Legbar and maline. The blue icebar cockerel if you remember is the little chick that hatched late I nursed back to health turned out to be a dam cockerel dang it and don’t need him he is a splash and I already have a nice blue icebar Roo.

I have a one coming back that is EO bought like 10 half the post mistress took lost a few to our outside cats one she has is cockerel so she will bring him back

Well got 4 of them processed today get the rest tomorrow then mowed my field I’m wore out.

got allot done here but no birds processed Richard took a dry moment to weedeat up to silky they layed a paver track for me walk on as when it is wet it gets awful slick

That’s nice you have a path to walk on now. I just went to turn on water and nothing went out and checked the pump house looks like my well pump has died not good.

I got all my kennel panels moved so there is a big courtyard in front of the silkie pens. Now I need to get get some posts to make net supports.

We had a bonfire tonight. Burned up some old, rotten pallets.

Ah crud @mixedbreeds been there so sorry the only good side of town water bad is we pay for water never had to do that before ....

With no cockerel in the main coop just now my girls are feeling pretty free

Well guys are here had to replace pump and the pvc line looked crummy so replace that as well. Probably going to be expensive had a quote a while back of 1500.00 so sure it will be at least that much dang it. I’m letting all the Marans sit on there eggs got tired of fighting them I think there are 14 of them should be chicks all over in a few weeks.
