Been in town all day we get our checks by the 3rd could have picked a better day as there was a massive wreck in I-5 north of Centralia so we stayed on Jackson hwy into town wall to wall big trucks on I-5 we did get done what we wanted so headed for home

Hubby went ocean salmon fishing today. He wouldn't tell me what all he caught when he called to say he was on his way back

Hear that it is now cleaned up but just going to the Tavern for dinner

We went walleye fishing today they were not biting very well only got two but I did get one that was 24 inches and five pounds nice and fat, we will have half of it for dinner tomorrow. I don’t know where all the people are this year there were only a few rigs at the boat launch and the parks are not even close to full. Turned 15 heads of cabbage from the garden into the early stages of sauerkraut yesterday, still have about 10 heads left, also have 14 big heads of broccoli coming on. The chickens devoured the the excess chunks of cabbage they ate it all and there was a lot.

Have cauliflower coming up time to thin them again will send any not producing to the chickens they will love it

I have cauliflower coming out my ears, picked 10 heads have another 10 coming on in various sizes. Peas are coming on lots of potatoes, green beans are flowering and the corn hit knee high today. Tomato plants are setting tomato’s have some new crooked neck squash this year every bloom has set a squash never had them produce so many as small plants, boy when they get big I will be giving boxes of them away.

Happy 4th to all remember the reason those that fought respect them love them.
Have a potato salad half built Son asked I add bacon it is Beef dogs thawing will be cooked on a fire hot dog buns and baked beans on the menu, pasta cooked sausage also pasta to the main coop sausage to the silky everyone celebrates the 4th here...

Hubby got his two coho salmon. It was too late last night so today I scaled, filleted, and portioned them. They are in dry brine right now and I'll smoke tomorrow. Then vacuum sealed and froze for later enjoyment.
