Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I've never seen a rattler on our property, I've seen them up in the rocky hills, but for some reason not down here! We've lived in this area for over 35 years!
Thankfully, the only snake I've seen in the wild in my area is a garter snake. I usually have problems with some aggressive coyotes, bears, bobcats, and cougars, but that's about it.

Those look great! I wanted to put in the water nipples earlier, but we have just had to many bigger projects to get it done, now with Dale retired it might happen soon!

The one that my husband built seems to work great and I think it was pretty easy to put together!
Maybe I'll look into it! I'm guessing less food is wasted?

Another question about native plants...
I have noticed that some of my chickens have very red faces. I was wondering about photo sensitivity possibility from the plants I had been giving my chickens from the property. On some Toxic lists most of my plants are on there and some can cause this. How do you know if a chickens face is too red, or normal?

We have coyotes and sometimes cougars over here, but I've never seen the cougars around our place!
I once chased a dog that was terrorizing my flock off the property and into the forest...and then I almost ran into a cougar that was up in a rock. Fun times, especially when they start snarling at you. 😬)

Oh my goodness, that would be terrifying! Glad you're still here to tell the story! :)
