Good morning...still counts...lol! I get completely different weather than you, but we are going to have some wind, which isn't unusual! I hope that you don't get the winds he's expecting!

We can get pretty solid winds here also has never caused huge damage though
made it home was up shopping at Costco in Tumwater quite busy

We went to the feed store yesterday so I’m good with chicken food till mid December. We’ve had really bad storms but not in quite a while. I just remember the ones in 1990-91 where it was freezing cold and the wind came from the north knocking trees over like crazy because they’ve braced themselves for southerlies. My sister had 5 fall on her house. We all have a version of ptsd when they say high winds!

That’s great Penny! I did get one egg the other day, I hope it wasn’t just a one off. 2 of the 3 pullets are sporting large red combs and squatting.

Think my bunch from auction I have two I think are cockerel also one of the ameracauna 3 lost one but one seems to be a cockerel

Hi!
Newbie here from Skagit County. I would like to get more involved with local chicken people, clubs and events. Does anyone here have any suggestions?

My only laying age hen has had a hard molt and I think she's down for the winter. I'm being forced to deal with store bought eggs for the first time in a couple of years and it is disappointing, I tell ya. On top of that, if the two new chicks I got in Sept. turn out to be boys, I'll be in the market for a pullet and will want to be able to have the chance to rehome the boys before they go to freezer camp. Knowing people around here would go a long way!

Anyway, I've been lurking here for months but finally decided to jump in the pool. Nice to see all the WA peeps here!
